· Due Wed, 5/5/10 Reading Section: 5/3/10 “Battle of Fast Food…” Argument Evidence T-Chart- Copy the T-Chart and fill in using the information you marked in the text.
  • Study your summary sentences, literary reading log, and vocabulary for MDG test tomorrow!!

Homework Due Today

· Writing Section: Grammar, Adverbs Practice- Complete exercises 1-3, pages 63-65 to review your knowledge of adverbs. Complete as homework, due Tuesday 5/4/10 if not finished in class. Teacher will stamp homework while students work on #3 below, MDG Vocabulary Review.

2. Copy learning objectives and homework in your planner.
3. Writing Section: 5/4/10 MDG Vocabulary Review- To review for the test tomorrow, use the following 9 vocabulary words correctly in your own sentence: tangible, zealous, quarry, discern, condone, diverting, deplorable, scruple, imperative. Have student volunteers share their sentences on Elmo, or draw name strips : ).

Review Adverbs Homework- Have student volunteers share their answers on Elmo.
4. Reading Section: 5/4/10 Scan for Vocabulary “Don’t Blame the Eater”- Work with a partner to locate vocabulary words and copy the sentence from the text. Add your own words from the text on the back.
5. Reading Section: 5/4/10 Summary Sentences “Don’t Blame the Eater” – In groups of 3-4, read the article. Stop to write summary sentences for each paragraph. Be prepared to share with the class.
