3. Reading "The News"
  • Listen to the recordings below as you read along in the book.
  • As you read, complete a Reading Pyramid (Reading Pyramid #4, paragraphs 18-22)
  • Review the Process:
    • While reading, I want to see you:
      1. With your book open, your scan for vocabulary out, and a Reading Pyramid out
      2. Listening to the recordings below while reading.
      3. Stopping after each paragraph, CLOSING THE BOOK, and writing a summary sentence.
        • If you have trouble with that last part, that probably means there are words in the paragraph that you still need to look up. Also, it means you need to re-read that paragraph.

4. With remaining time you may work on:
  • Your Online Portfolio
