Creating a Reading Pyramid
Draw a pyramid on your paper.
Inside the pyramid, you will write summary sentences.
Write the author's argument/main point at the pinnacle.
Add quotations that support that argument below, so that it supports what is at the top.
During reading, I expect to see:
Each person reading aloud or reading along.
Your scan for vocabulary out.
You closing your book before writing a summary sentence.
3. Any remaining time is for:
Adding to/modifying your online portfolio.
