Agenda:

  1. Sign in on attendance log.
  2. Copy learning objectives and homework in your planner
  3. Haiti Article: Re-read "Horrible Images of Death in Haiti". As you read it again, highlight the author's claims, which are different from the other people he quotes in the article.
  4. Graphic Organizer: Follow the Instructions to complete your graphic organizer on “Horrible Images of Death in Haiti”.
  5. Writing Section: 4/12/10 Rhetorical Précis: Use the template hand out and your graphic organizer to write a rhetorical précis.
  6. Reading Section: 4/12/10 Scan for Vocabulary Jigsaw “The Most Dangerous Game” p. 66-83 In groups of 4 or less, scan your assigned pages for vocabulary. Make your list on the provided paper which we will post to use as we read.
  7. Reading Section: 4/12/10 Key Vocabulary Foldable p. 66 Make a vocabulary foldable using the 9 vocabulary preview words on page 66. Include the word, definition, synonym, and use it correctly in your own sentence.
