Agenda:

  1. Sign in on attendance log.
  2. Copy learning objectives and homework in your planner .
  3. Reading Section: 4/13/10 Scan for Vocabulary Jigsaw “The Most Dangerous Game” p. 66-83- In 8 groups of 4, scan your assigned pages for vocabulary. Make your group's list on the provided paper which we will post on the wall to use as we read. Your chart should include the word, definition, synonym, and translation (if necessary). Mrs. Sagapolutele will come by and give your group stamps on your card for working together and staying on task : ) This is how you will earn your points for positive group participation!! Make sure all group member’s names are on both your card and your group poster.
  4. Reading Section: Before You Read Reading Focus and Background Notes Glencoe Lit p. 66- - Set up a page for Cornell Notes. Copy the following topics on the left hand side, then complete your responses and notes on the right hand side of your Cornell Notes: 1. Reading Focus Quickwrite, 2. Building Background (take notes on time and place, and did you know), 3. Meet Richard Connell. Have students share and discuss quickwrite and notes.
  5. Reading Section: 4/13/10 Summary Sentences “The Most Dangerous Game” p. 67-68- Begin reading, stopping to write summary sentences every few paragraphs.
  6. Reading Section: 4/14/10 MDG Reading Log: Stop to answer literary questions on your reading log.
  7. Participation Section: 4/14/10 Fast Food Quiz- Answer the questions as best as you can! See how knowledgeable you are about the fast food you eat : )
